Skin Cancer
There are three major types of skin cancer, all of which are common in fair skinned individuals who have had extensive sun exposure in the past: basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma. It is important to wear sunscreen to prevent skin cancer, perform monthly skin self examinations to identify any new or changing growths, and to visit your dermatologist at least on a yearly basis for a screening examination.
