Sculptra
Sculptra is a FDA-approved injectable product for reducing fine lines and wrinkles of the face and creating a fuller, more youthful appearance. Also known as the "liquid facelift", Sculptra contains poly-L-lactic acid, a well known material that has been used in medical products for decades. Sculptra corrects facial lines and folds due to aging by stimulating the skin to produce collagen and thereby replacing collagen that is lost over time. Unlike fillers such as Restylane and Juvéderm, Sculptra is not injected specifically into lines and wrinkles, but globally all over the face in small amounts to restore volume and provide a lifting effect. This results in diminished lines and a more youthful appearance.
