Perioral Dermatitis
Perioral dermatitis is a condition of small, dry, acne-like bumps around the mouth. It is usually seen in women in their 20s, 30s, and 40s, and the cause is thought to be hormonal. Some cases are triggered by the chronic use of cortisones on the face. Treatment involves oral antibiotics and topical anti-inflammatory agents that are non-cortisone based.
