Ethnic Skin
Some people with Asian, Middle Eastern, African-American, Indian, Native American and Mediterranean backgrounds can look pale or light in skin color. However, when the skin of ethnic individuals becomes inflamed or undergoes various procedures, it does not behave in a similar fashion to the pale skin found in patients typically with blonde, blue eyes from Norwegian, Irish or Scandinavian backgrounds. Ethnic skin requires special care and attention to detail. Furthermore, many procedures may not be safe on ethnic skin types, or various pre-treatments maybe necessary to make procedures safe to be performed.
